Makeup Artist: Stephen Moleski
Stephen Moleski is no stranger to star clientele. You can regularly catch glimpses of him on episodes of Keeping up with the Kardashians. No one can deny that Kim always has the perfect amount of makeup on and looks flawless and now you know the man behind it all! Read below to get the latest makeup tips -
Style Scoop: Kim Kardashian always has the perfect smokey eye makeup. How do you achieve this look on her?
Stephen Moleski: It just takes a couple of steps and some practice. I start off with a neutral base (MAC paint), then use a rich color (MAC Embark or Shadowy Lady) and a kohl pencil to rim the eyes. Then blend!
SS: Last season, red lips were a big trend seen in Hollywood, what do you think the lip color trend will be for spring?
Neutral with a hint of color is always the best look for spring and summer. The spring and summer is when the skin is the main focus.
What are you noticing for eye makeup? Is it more bright colors or neutrals?
Neutral eyes are big right now with lots of lash.
What do you suggest as the perfect every day makeup routine?
Skin care is the key. Moisturize with an SPF, then a little powder or bronzer. Curl the lashes with a nice application of mascara and a wash of color on the lips.
What are the staples in terms of makeup brands, specific products, brushes, etc. that every woman should have?
Everyone should have a good set of brushes. A large powder brush, angle brush, and a couple of other eye shadow brushes are a must. Photoshoot by Intuit Beauty is a must for makeup prepping and an assortment of MAC eye shadows.
You've worked with Kim and the Girls Next Door, what other exciting projects can we expect from you?
I am still working with Kim as her personal makeup artist. I'm also working on my own eyelash line, a makeup how-to book, and a skin prep line with Intuit Beauty.
