Nicole Scherzinger carries Balenciaga

Rarely do I ever speak poorly of a bag designed by my beloved Balenciaga, but the Balenciaga City Bag that former Pussycat Doll and Dancing with the Stars alum Nicole Scherzinger is just not doing anything for me.

Where do I even start? The shiny gold hardware, the striped linen instead of leather…the design simply doesn’t have the things that normally make me love Balenciaga’s motorcycle bags so much. Not only that, but sending an expensive, lightly colored cloth bag through airport security seems like a terrible choice. Luckily for us her boyfriend, Forumla 1 champion Lewis Hamilton, has some eye candy for all of us bag lovers in the form of a black taiga Louis Vuitton Anton Satchel. At least on of them has good taste in bags!

Kim Kardashian struts her stuff in Proenza Schouler platforms

I’m jealous of Kim Kardashian and I don’t care who knows it.
First, she had football hottie Reggie Bush on her arm. Now that they’ve broken up, she’s kicking it with yet another football hottie, Miles Austin. What do I have to do to attract one of these dudes? Oh, look like Kim Kardashian. Right. Guess that’s not going to happen any time soon.
I may not be able to have Kim’s fierce body, but I can still buy the awesome Proenza Schouler platforms that she’s wearing in this picture. If I remember correctly, these shoes (she’s worn them a few times before) are the first time that I’ve seen Kim wear Proenza and I hope that she continues to do so. They’re a great brand and Kim, rightfully or wrongly, brings a lot of attention to the designers that she wears.

Kim Kardashian loves Christian Louboutin’s shoes and clutches

If there’s anyone that should be carrying a Christian Louboutin clutch, it’s Louboutin-lover Kim Kardashian. At any given time, it’s a pretty safe bet that whatever shoes Kim happens to be wearing are probably Louboutins, and it only makes sense that she should embrace the brand’s evening bags for the many (many) nights out that she has.

Her choice for this outfit is one of my favorite of Louboutin’s clutches – the Christian Louboutin Loubistuds Clutch, complete with tiny red-soled shoes as a kisslock. Those aren’t the only red soles in her outfit, however – she’s also sporting a pair of simple Christian Louboutin Rolando Pumps.

Kim Kardashian goes back to an old favorite: Balenciaga

It’s not often that you find Kim Kardashian repeating a look – much of her public persona is predicated on being interestingly dressed at all times. In that way, I suppose she’s sort of like Lady Gaga, except with an entirely different personal style and artistic aim (and no matter how much I love the Kardashian sisters, saying that they have any sort artistic aim is probably generous, in and of itself). In addition to her oft-seen Hermes Birkin, Kim seems to rely a great deal on her black (or is it dark grey?) Balenciaga City Bag for days when handbag inspiration just doesn’t strike.

She also seems to enjoy her Yves Saint Laurent Tribtoo Pumps, and it’s a good thing that she went with old favorites to pair with this outfit, because the clothing part just isn’t working. Kim looks stunning in almost anything, but high-waisted, pleated, wrinkle-prone shorts with a horizontally striped blazer is not the pairing I would recommend for a figure as curvy as hers.

Kim Kardashian attempts to go incognito with camo

Is it wrong that when I see camo I *still* think of Destiny’s Child and their hit from many years ago, “Survivor”? I mean seriously, that song came out so long ago but it is like I cannot get that music video out of my head – years later even. Once again, I was reminded of this song when I came across these images of Kim Kardashian in her Balmain camo t-shirt while she was out for dinner in Miami. Kim certainly knows how to take any trend and vamp it up with a pair of amazing shoes like what she’s wearing here. Shop Balmain via Net-a-Porter!

The Kardashian sisters celebrate a b-day in style and in Vegas

Love them or hate them, the Kardashian sisters aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. I for one am okay with this. I watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians and constantly find myself wondering what they are wearing and where I can get it. They’ve taken the success of their show and they’ve run with it. Again, love them or hate them, a little luck and hard work can really take you far.

Kim, Khloe and Kourtney celebrated Kourtney’s 31st birthday at Wet Republic Ultra pool in Las Vegas. Nothing says birthday party like celebrating with a few hundred drunk strangers in Vegas, right? Kim Kardashian wore a Robert Rodriguez jumper, L’Wren jewelry and Proenza Schouler heels. Birthday girl, Kourtney Kardashian carried a great Balenciaga City Bag. And Khloe Kardashian rocked an A.L.C. V-Neck Striped Dress.

Kim Kardashian carries a classic (klassic?) Balenciaga

With all of the fancy hardware options for Balenciaga bags that have come out in the last few years (giant silver, giant gold, giant covered, rose gold, etc), it’s easy to forget about the style that started it all: “regular,” as it’s known to Balenciaga fans. How nice of Kim Kardashian, then, to remind us all of this subtler, more versatile option.

I’m also kind of jealous that she’s managing to carry a nude-colored bag that is still nude colors. I’m sure that she has so many bags that she doesn’t use any of them to death, but if I had a bag that color, it would immediately find a puddle in which to fall or some ink against which to rub. If I was carrying her Balenciaga City Bag, it would surely look like it had been through a war, even if it was brand new.

Kim Kardashian would like for you to look at her Birkin

Not that I can blame her. If I had an Hermes Birkin, I’d want to make sure that everyone got a look at it too.

Kim Kardashian was spotted recently toting her very hefty black Birkin around Los Angeles, and every time I see her with this bag, I can’t help but drool. My normal personal style doesn’t really jibe with the Hermes aesthetic, but there’s just something so irresistibly sophisticated about the bag that has grown on me quite a bit over the years.

Kim does a good job of showing how it can be dressed down, even in one of the bag’s most formal color combinations. Also, she’s sort of making me want a white blazer, and I’m not sure that I could pull it off.
