I bought this dress recently because i was planing to wear it on my birthday but i didnt. so i used it for this outfit by the way im sure they still have it online.these boots i got them last year at f21 because theyre very similar to the christian louboutins except they dont have the red sole Lol.

HOW TO WEAR IT: Summer leather? Yes, it may sound weird but it can be done as long as you use the material in moderation. Steer clear of Ashley's suit and instead pair a mini with a lightweight, loose top. And stick with sandals for the next couple of months. Your pumps and boots have the rest of the year to come out and play.

A Night Out in NYC with Friends

Scott and I went went to Abe & Arthurs in New York with some of our New York friends. Everything we got was so delicious. It’s very much a “scene” so you just have to be in the mood to socialize.

The mags said Scott and I were “fighting” this night when we were out, which was completely untrue, but I guess they need something to write about… Saying we had a fun dinner catching up with friends isn’t very exciting.

Mai Closet: Episode 1105 with Illiana

Ahhh, this episode was a doozy. I can still remember standing there just bewildered at how Illiana, our guest on this week’s episode, tried everything to talk herself out of a makeover. If she walked off the show with even just a shirt that fit over her midriff, I would have been thrilled! However, at the end of the day Illiana had an amazing heart and turned when she saw how her ill-fitted clothing actually made her appear 2-3 sizes bigger than she actually was! She later told me off camera that she never realized the effects of her style could later teach her daughter the same low self-esteem, too. It was an episode I hope all mothers and daughters were able to bond over. What did you guys think?

HOW TO WEAR IT: With the '90s making a major fashion comeback, goth-inspired pieces were all over the fall runways. And celebs are already getting a head start on the trend. The new Material Girl is obsessed with her rosary, rocking it with everything from dresses to thigh-high stockings (we do not recommend the latter). And the Material Mom celebrated her 52nd birthday in London this weekend, accessorizing a Dolce & Gabbana dress with a cross necklace and Lord & Saviour clutch.

But our favorite way to wear trend is more dressed down, as Shenae did last week. The layered necklace added just a touch of goth to her stripes and leather.
