Belts Get Knotty!

TREND: Knotted belts

WHO'S WEARING IT: Olivia Palermo, Blake Lively and Kate Bosworth

HOW TO WEAR IT: Inspired by the Burberry Prorsum spring/summer 2010 fashion show in London, this trend is a very recessionista-friendly way to get a runway look for little to no money.

Simply wrap a thin belt—preferrably one you already own—around your waist and tie a knot out of the excess flap. The look will add a funky new, er, twist to your dresses and shorts now, and to your sweaters in the fall.

For more ideas on how to save money by transforming what you already have, check out Jeannie Mai's tips over at Etsy.

Blossom Into Style With a Petal Purse!

TREND: Flower appliqué bags

WHO'S WEARING IT: Natalie Portman, Amanda Seyfried (Valentino) and Kate Bosworth

HOW TO WEAR IT: You stand no chance of being labeled a wallflower when you carry one of these eye-catching petal purses! The three-dimensional totes add a romantic and sweet flair to any outfit. In the daytime, spruce up casual wear with a bright, bold blossom-filled bag, like Amanda did. In the evening, follow Natalie's and Kate's lead by complementing pretty lace with an elegant, neutral clutch.

Get Caught Up in Crochet!

TREND: Crochet dresses

WHO'S WEARING IT: Molly Sims (Diane von Furstenburg), Kate Bosworth (Topshop), Calista Flockhart (vintage Decades)

HOW TO WEAR IT: This trend is all about channeling your inner flower child. Tap into the '70s bohemian vibe with a neutral-colored minidress for day, like Kate. We love the way she styled her hippie dress with short tomboy boots and naturally wavy locks. Molly even shows us how to work the look at night with black tights, a red lip and chic accessories. Remember, these pieces are all about creating a laid-back look, so mixing crochet with formal wear is probably not the most fashion-savvy decision, ahem, Calista! Whichever way you style it, make sure to wear a thin tank dress underneath to avoid any unfortunate wardrobe malfunctions!

Style Secret: Computer Love: The Digital-Print Dress

TREND: Digital-print dresses

WHO'S WEARING IT: Anna Paquin (Marios Schwab), Ali Larter (Brian Reyes) and Kate Bosworth (Peter Pilotto)

HOW TO WEAR IT: Trust us, you'll want to download a digital-print dress into your spring wardrobe. The frock's futuristic pattern explodes with color, complementing the intensity of the sun's rays this season. If you decide to wear black shoes with the dress, then at least make sure they're graphic, like Anna's caged heels, so that they match the striking nature of the print. Silver, gold or nude pumps are OK, but if you really want to be bold, simply pull a color from the vibrant design. Although Anna scores points for her shoe savvy, she lets us down by wearing a necklace. Jewelry is unnecessary. The colorful dress is a gem in and of itself! Lastly, don't make the same mistake that all these celebs made by wearing your hair down. The ideal easy, breezy 'do is to pull your hair back so that everyone can bask in the glory of your vivid number.
